Cygnus Arioso Winter Gala 2026

Cygnus Arioso Winter Gala 2026 marks the pinnacle of our chamber music season - an evening of rare scale, depth, and artistic gathering.

Opening with Strauss’ profound Metamorphosen, a work of reflection and collective voice, the program culminates after the interval in one of the greatest achievements of the chamber repertoire: Schubert’s String Quintet. Monumental in both emotional reach and architectural scope, this is music that demands not only exceptional artistry, but a deep sense of trust and communion between players.

It is a true honour to welcome Graeme Jennings, Yoko Okayasu, and Isaac Davies, travelling from Brisbane to join the all-star friends of Cygnus Arioso for this extraordinary occasion. Together, these musicians come together for a single purpose: to serve music of the highest order, in an evening that celebrates shared artistry, friendship, and the living tradition of chamber music.

This Winter Gala stands as the highlight of Cygnus Arioso’s 2026 chamber music concerts - a once-only gathering, and an experience to be shared in the intimacy and intensity that this repertoire deserves.
