D&D Day at the Hub

Step into a full day of Dungeons & Dragons at the Bellingen Youth Hub this Youth Week. Open to young people aged 12 to 18, this special event is designed for both complete beginners and experienced players, with a mix of learning, creativity and play across the day.

The program includes masterclass sessions on how to start playing D&D, build characters, improve your roleplay and even begin Dungeon Mastering. In the afternoon, the day opens up into hands-on workshops where participants can move between creative activity stations focused on character design, youth-led one-shot adventures and collaborative campaign building.

What makes this event special is that it is more than just a game session. It is a chance to build confidence, imagination and connection with other young people who love fantasy, storytelling and tabletop games. The workshops are led by Daniel East, an internationally published games writer, award-winning creator, educator and professional Dungeon Master with more than 10 years’ experience teaching English and creative writing.

Whether you are curious about D&D for the first time or already deep into fantasy worlds, this is a welcoming and creative space to learn, play and meet others who share your interests.
