Δ (Change from Aotearoa): Archipelago

Held across three floors at Dancehouse (Naarm) with live DJs beaming in from Basement Theatre in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), “Δ: Archipelago” is a sea of choreographed “islands”. Join us on the dancefloor as performers wave, dip, duckwalk, and summon psychopomps to the genre-bending, ass-shaking sounds of Lay the Mystic, Pataphysics, DJ Zeke and more.

“Δ: Archipelago'' bridges the islands of Te moana nui a Kiwa (the Great Sea of Kiwa / the Pacific Ocean) and so-called “Australia” in real time… Chunky Move’s 2023 Choreolab participants thumping it out at Dancehouse in Naarm will be united digitally with the party at Basement Theatre in Tāmaki Makaurau in a global live-streamed nightclub.

Designed by leading Tāmaki Makaurau movement artists Jaycee Iman and CONJAH (Jahra Wasasala and Ooshcon), “Δ: Archipelago'' is a celebration of new worlds rooted in diversity and safety, built one sweaty dance floor at a time.
