Event description
Design Assembly is excited to introduce the inaugural DA Women in Design Day (Design and You) 2024 — an annual event dedicated to fostering community, celebration, and education among women in the design industry in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The talks will explore the theme 'The personal is political: How has your background, life experiences and values shaped your design practice to live a life in design?
Featuring women in design;
- Sarah Baker | Media Design School
- Laura Cibilich | Founder/Design Director at RUN
- Zoe Ikin | Experience Design Director at ASB Bank
- Desna Whaanga-Schollum | Mātauranga Māori / SciComm / Mahi Toi
The four talks will be followed by a panel and Q&A session led by Louise Kellerman (Founder and Creative Director of Design Assembly)
The day promises a dynamic exchange of ideas, with talks and discussions, followed by lunch and optional activities.
All food and activities included in the ticket price.
DA Women in Design Day aims to connect individuals, providing a platform for sharing inspiration, information, and ideas plus space to pause and reflect on your own practice.

Return coach transfers from a central Auckland city location to Bracu are available for $40 per person.
Please purchase your coach ticket at the same time as buying your event ticket. The coach will depart from Western Springs Gardens on Great North Road at 7.45am sharp, so be there at 7.30am to avoid last minute stress!
