What do Leonardo da Vinci and your students have in common?

What skills did Da Vinci have that are relevant now, more than ever?


Experience a sample of the works of Leonardo da Vinci in this free, interactive exhibition featuring flying machines and robotic prototypes.

Hear from Da Vinci expert, Stephanie Rizzo, on the variety of capabilities that allowed Leonardo to become a prolific artist, scientist, inventor and engineer. Hear from Tech School staff and participate in a discussion on how these same skills and capabilities are invaluable to the young people of today.

After the talk and Q&A, enjoy light refreshments while exploring the exhibition, learning more about Whittlesea Tech School, and networking with fellow educators.

About the Speaker: Steph Rizzo

Steph Rizzo


Steph spent over a decade as Co-Director of Travelling Exhibitions and Head of Education for the Museum of Leonardo da Vinci, located in Florence, Italy. With a background in science and the arts, she is dedicated to bringing the vision and genius of da Vinci to life through dynamic exhibitions and engagements worldwide.  An award-winning public speaker, Steph has also worked as a publisher, editor, researcher and writer of scientific textbooks and museum materials. She is currently a Senior Project Officer in the Victorian Government’s Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions.
