Event description

Join us for three hours of activities at Addi Road to acknowledge and nurture the Palestinian resistance:

  • Market stall featuring Palestinian clothes, keffiyehs, accessories and decor with Shatha from Jaffa Roots.
  • Friendship bracelet-making workshop with Paz.
  • Dabke workshop for children by Sophia.

    **Jaffa Roots Pop-Up Store**
Shatha’s passion for preserving and promoting Palestinian culture led her to create Jaffa Roots, an online store dedicated to sharing the beauty and history of Palestinian heritage with the world. Jaffa Roots is coming to Addi Road on 20 July to offer its beautiful and unique items celebrating Palestinian culture.  If you like owning a Palestinian keffiyeh and buying beautiful clothes, accessories, or home decor, this is your chance to support a small Palestinian business.

The stall will be open from 12pm to 3pm. Free entry and no booking is required.

    **Friendship bracelet-making workshop with Paz**
We're thrilled to invite you to a special workshop where we'll create beautiful bracelets inspired by the colours of the Palestinian flag. You can also use letters to include special names on your bracelet.
No prior experience is necessary – everyone is welcome! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crafter, come join us for a fun-filled hour of creativity and community.

Tickets: $10 each (proceeds going to Addi Road Community Organisation) + Booking fee (Humanitix)

    Time: 1pm

The activity is suitable for teens and adults. Younger children are welcome to join with adult supervision.
