DADS & JETTIES 2.0

An opportunity to fill up your cup, socialize with other dads, connect with your body, enjoy our great summer days, and honor our inner-child by jumping from a jetty for a fresh start of the day. Four Jetties in Four Saturdays, 5:30-7am.

DADS & JETTIES is designed for us dads to take advantage of our summer season by rising before the sun, exploring our great outdoors, and setting the mind and body for success for the day(s) ahead. To the Noongar, it is Birak, the season of heat. Marked by warm easterly winds in the morning and refreshing breezes in the afternoon. A time of renewal and rejuvenation as the land thrives under the summer sun. So let's take advantage of this beautiful time of the year. 

What are the benefits of rising at 5am?

1. Peace + Quiet

If your home is anything like mine, no one is up at 5am, so it is a fantastic time to get some uninterrupted time to yourself. And it’s almost a warranty that you will feel more organised, calmer and in control.

2. Strengthen your self-discipline

The act of getting up at 5am is hard in the beginning.

Even though you may not have to wake up at 5 AM every day to get stuff done, the act of doing so allows you to start your day on the right foot and practice self-discipline.

3. You’ll be happier

Rising early can boost mood, lead to greater life satisfaction, and minimise mental health problems.

People who woke up early said they felt happier than those who hit snooze for a few extra zzz’s. They were also more alert and had stronger immune systems. Plus, waking up early gives you time to get in a morning workout, so you’ll get a dose of mood-boosting endorphins.

4. You’ll be fitter + become more consistent with exercise

Getting up at 5am provides you with enough time to fit in a great workout. Exercising in the morning is easy to commit to as you are fresh and there are no distractions.

Your health depends on your activity level and exercise is important for a healthy lifestyle.

5. You will feel more motivated during the day

Along with strengthening your self discipline which also boosts self confidence and resolve, you will also be more motivated and not let your early rise to go to waste. Getting up at this time, allows you to start your day on the right foot and provides you with the mental clarity to achieve more.

So with all this info in mind, join us for the second of four events:

1. Saturday 11th January - Bicton Baths Jetty at 5:30am GONE!!!

2. Saturday 18th January - Woodman Point Ammo Jetty at 5:30am. (Meet at the Woodman Kiosk)

3. Saturday 25th January - Coogee Jetty at 
5:30am. 

4. Saturday 1st February - Point Walter Jetty at 5:30am.
