Event description

Free object play is happening this Saturday and Sunday, 11 am-3 pm, to celebrate the school holidays. This is in place of the Dairy Road Market, in the gardens beside LESS Pavilion.

Play Dairy Road employs principles of 'Playwork' by engaging people of all ages in free, self-directed play opportunities. Playworkers (trained staff) will creatively engage participants with various unfixed play resources. Facilitated by the clever cookies at Green Hat Workshop, this free play session will take place this Saturday and Sunday, from 11 am-3 pm, in the gardens beside LESS Pavilion. Free parking is available on-site.

You will find organic food, hot beverages at As Nature Intended, and all sorts of chocolates at Jasper and Myrtle. Suny will serve cereals with a smile, while boozy drinks will be available all day from Capital Brewing Co. Vertikal and Big River Distilling Co.

Discover beautiful art and objects at Grainger Gallery and Modern Object, or climb the walls of Blochaus. If you're looking for something more relaxed, you can take a class with leading yogis from Mandir Yoga and Flow Yoga Canberra.

Dairy Road Market is evolving to suit the shifting demands of the climate, staff shortages due to illness, and supply issues for makers. We will announce upcoming market dates soon. As we move forward, we invite you to explore Dairy Road

Dairy Road is a neighbourhood being slowly developed by Molonglo in Canberra’s East Lake over the next 10 to 15 years. Currently, it is made up of warehouses, some office buildings and vehicle yards. It’s rare to have so much space in the heart of a city and yet, here she lies flanked by highways on one side and the Jerrabomberra Wetlands on the other.
