DairySA 2024 Innovation Day

Built on a foundation of 18 years’ experience, the DairySA Innovation Day returns to Mount Gambier in 2024. Farmers, industry members and service providers are invited to attend this cutting-edge dairy forum on Tuesday 2 July.

Join keynote speakers and industry experts as they address the theme of innovation and a future in dairy. Delegates can expect to dive into the latest findings around effluent planning, smart pasture systems, sustainability, tech, close calf contact, and more. This event will share progressive insights and strategies.

In 2024, DairySA is excited to host a pre-conference dinner for SA’s young dairy farmers. Guest speaker and industry advocate ‘Big Farmer Andy’ will not only grace the stage on Innovation Day, but he will also join Young Dairy Network ticket holders for a social evening of networking and story sharing.

Alongside Andy, attendees will hear from consultant and AgCap founder Wolfie Wagner on the Pasture Smarts web application tool, Tasmanian farmer and four-time Dairy Business of the Year winner Grant Archer, and Ellinbank SmartFarm’s Sharon Aarons. Sharon will explore technology that transforms effluent, saves nutrients and cuts emissions. Additional speakers will be announced soon, adding to the already impressive line up.

Following the conference, delegates can ‘Gather & Graze’ before an annual dining experience. This will include a two-course meal catered by award-winning venue, The Barn Steakhouse.

For farmers, DairySA Innovation Day 2024 is a chance to catch up with old friends, make new industry connections and take home tools for the future. This event is the result of a collaborative approach between DairySA and south-east dairy farmers, who are committed to delivering a diverse and informative program.
