Dakini Cuddle is a newly formed project In Naarm Melbourne led by visionary artist Ty La Moonchild  and held together by three multi-instrumentalist craftsmen; Rory Wilson on Bass, Oliver George on Drums and Gabe Coleman on keys. The band has found a woven disposition with each other in the essence of their chemistry, artistic tastes and interpersonal experiences. Majority of the time, the song writing ideas come from Miss Ty la Moonchild, where she goes to the band with new musical concepts and sonic channelings that the band experiment upon and morph it into their own grandeur. In other times, Gabe Coleman will come to the group with arrangements that the group will flesh on together and in each others right will ad what feels good, accordingly.

"Its quite a natural process our music crafting, ultimately pursuing the state of being the vehicle for the FEEL to come through"

THE CREATION OF MOTIF was birthed from a jam in August 2023 between mutual friend of the band Shea Latif and Ty La Moonchild. Shea is a phenomenal self-taught guitarist ,multi-instrumentalist and producer. Shea is also a long time friend of Tyla; meeting at the age of 18 at Mossman Markets in the Daintree, Tyla was in a tree playing guitar and singing when she first laid eyes on Shea!

In August, Tyla was over as Shea's studio in Castlemaine, Shea was on guitar, Tyla on drums and the first jam they sat on was the MOTIF groove. Tyla started spurting some lyrics and with minimal correction, wrote down the first stream of consciousness. It was a vibe and with Shea's permission, Tyla took it back to Dakini Cuddle, where they expanded upon it, gave it shape and made it their own. Fast forward to a year and half later, it will be meeting the streaming platforms and sound libraries all around the world on Jan 25!
