Blade Runner is a 1982 neo-noir science fiction film set in Los Angeles 2018, directed by Ridley Scott. The movie depicts a dystopic, grimy landscape where a special division of cops called blade runners hunt rogue androids called replicants. Â
The screenplay, which was written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples, is loosely based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. Telling a complex tale of what exactly makes us human. Facing that dilemma, along with answering the film's central mystery... is Deckard human or is he a replicant?Â
