    Join us for bush camping beside the Pudakul Billabong just east of Humpty Doo, in the Adelaide River wetlands, on Limilngan-Wulna country.

    This festival is created in partnership with Pudakul and Darwin Community Arts (DCA), under the artistic and cultural direction of Lynette and Graham Kenyon. It is a celebration of art and culture in the rural area, highlighting First Nations culture alongside a range of contemporary artistic practices.

    “Daminmin is about connecting our local community to celebrate our unique rural arts and culture while sharing with guests to our community, this festival merges a range of cultural and artistic practices- including clap stick making, nature sketching, indigo dyeing, screen printing and weaving. We enjoy hanging out together in nature, connecting and bringing together a range of people and art forms” (Anna Weekes- DCA)

    Daminmin Festival showcases a fusion of traditional and contemporary First Nations and rural arts and culture. We will share traditional Indigenous arts and culture alongside rural arts and culture. Workshops will include Weaving, clap stick making, bush foods and medicine, dyeing, drawing, dancing. We will also showcase a collection of great local short films, local musicians, and dances.

    Entry by Donation- some workshops are FREE and some you will pay a fee onsite.

    Thursday the 25th of July 5pm
    join the Kenyon family in a bush tucker banquet on the edge of the billabong.

    Friday 26th July

    >11am opening ceremony with the Garamilla Dancers

    >Program of arts activities and cultural workshops nestled amongst the bush.

    >6 pm short film festival with NT traveling Film Fest followed by a Nocturnal Walk.

    Saturday 27th July

    >Program of arts and cultural activities

    >5 PM Daminmin Concert- and the line up is going to be amazing!
