Dana Gehrman 'Down In Hollywood' Album Launch
Rewind back to a time of genre-bending experimentalism, the halcyon days of laurel canyon's ‘west coast’ music.
Brisbane based guitar-slinger and singer, Dana Gehrman brings her all-star band to The Murwillumbah Citadel to celebrate the release of their second studio album, “Down In Hollywood”. A collection of songs originally recorded by Lowell George and Little Feat, this album pays homage to the 70’s music that continues to inspire Gehrman's sound.
Gehrman and band will perform a selection of both Little Feat songs off the album and original tracks blending soul, funk, roots-rock, country and blues, all with unfaltering vocals.
Join Dana alongside, Danny Widdicombe (The Honey Sliders, The Wilson Pickers, Tim Rogers, Bernard Fanning), Chris Bosley (Resin Dogs, The Honey Sliders, Golden Sound), Peter Golikov (Golden Sound, Pty Ltd, Bamboos) and Tony McCall (Golden Sound, Butterfingers, Emma Bosworth, Regurgitator, Wolfmother) this October 6th at The Murwillumbah Citadel.
Special guests to be announced soon!!

“She does not give a damn what the zeitgeist is… she just loves bluesy, ballsy heartfelt rhythm and blues and soul
and absolutely delivers… a dynamite guitarist”. (Tim Rogers)
"Gehrman rewinds the clock to the golden age of groove-laden funk and emotive soul
music." (Aldora Britain Records)
