DANCE CREATE EVOLVE 2024

22 to 24 November 2024

Dance Create Evolve is an annual event in Glen Innes, hosted by local dance group Shimmy in the Glen. Each year, we invite a special guest to share their skills and knowledge with us and our friends. Whilst the dancing is important, we like to include other creative aspects to expand and evolve as dancers and as people.

Shimmy in the Glen love to build community so Dance Create Evolve is aimed at making connections and sharing good times together. It includes a welcome event on the Friday evening and workshops on Saturday. On Saturday evening, we perform for each other in a relaxed cabaret style show. The weekend ends with a debrief breakfast on Sunday morning.  We hope that you will join us for a weekend of fun and friendship in the beautiful New England region.

Our special guest for 2024 is Bronnie Coffey of Empyrean Dance in Brisbane.  Bronnie is an extremely accomplished dancer, specialising in Fat Chance Belly Dance and Datura styles, and a very generous teacher.  We are delighted to have Bronnie join us to teach us some FCBD and some wonderful weaving as well as wowing us with her performances at our An Evening of Dance event.

Individual events are located in different venues around Glen Innes NSW.
