Dance Meditation Cycle
with Patricia Roux
An invitation to explore the potency of presence through an Open Floor meditation cycle.
In this unique movement journey, we alternate sitting, walking, and dancing, to draw attention inward and be in relationship with our body breathing and moving. We will start our practice with a short sitting meditation, then seamlessly transition to walking before moving to freeform dancing where the music will be crafted to take you on a soulful journey of awareness and self-expression. The cycle is repeated so we can deepen the process and meet whatever arises.

The Open Floor Meditation Cycle is a profound meditation practice as well as a lively dance enquiry.
This event is open to all, whether you're a new or seasoned practitioner of movement or meditation. NO previous dance experience required.

Date: Sunday 15th of September, 10am-11:30am (doors shut at 10:10am no entry after then)
Please bring a water bottle, a cushion for the sitting meditation part, turn off phones and remove shoes before entering the dance floor.

Cost: $25 | Price is inclusive of GST & Booking fee
To keep the group intimate we are limiting the bookings to 25 participants.
Alcohol free, drug free and smoke free event. Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. No mobile phones, no photography, no Shazam, be present in the space, as others will with you. This event is not suitable for kids(18+)
Cancellation Policy - Refund is available up to 24hr before the event after which there are no refunds, however you may transfer you spot to another person.
Facilitator:
Patricia is a mother, dancer, yoga and meditation teacher. She has been practicing mindful movement and conscious dance for over 10 years. Together with her husband, Theva Indrasenan, they run Dancing Dhevas Conscious dance classes, workshops and retreats. Patricia is a certified Open Floor Teacher, Open Floor Movement practice offers a dynamic, creative tool kit of resources to move through life, fully embodied; it uses the universal language of dance and mindfulness for self discovery, connection and healing.

Open Floor is a resource-based movement practice. We explore new ways of moving and responding to what is happening
with intention and purpose. We learn to understand our habits and patterns for deeper insight and self-awareness.
The more we embody different responses in our movements, the more resources we can call on to move through life with
flexibility, resilience and ease.
