Every desire fulfilled is an offering to the dance.

We come to the dance floor longing for freedom, full expression, and deep connection.

Our dance spaces are full of beautiful, like-hearted humans—all wanting to create magic together.

And yet… sometimes it’s hard.

Ecstatic dance at its best offers aliveness, release, and communion.

But the same patterns that pull us out of presence in daily life often follow us onto the floor:

How do I initiate a dance I actually want?
How do I leave a dance with care and clarity?
Am I coming on too strong—or holding back?
Will I hurt someone’s feelings?
Why does my dance look smaller, quieter, or less wild than theirs?

These thoughts are natural.

They’re not wrong.

And they can also become places where we get stuck—cut off from the full richness, pleasure, and truth of our dance.

At Dance Meets Tantra: DESIRES, we explore something simple and radical:

Every one of these moments points to a desire underneath.

Getting clear on the desires that fuel our movement—and learning how to meet them with integrity, presence, and courage—is what we’re up to.

This one-day immersive experience is a deep dive into:

Identifying your desires beneath habit, fear, or performance
Naming desire clearly, in language the body trusts
Initiating connection with attunement and confidence
Navigating endings, shifts, and changing desires with care
Reclaiming life force, play, and authenticity on the dance floor

By bringing a tantric lens to dance, we practice returning—again and again—to the living pulse at the heart of each of us, and at the heart of the field.

This event also serves as a powerful threshold as we prepare for BEYOND, an advanced offering that will be open only to those who have participated in a DMT experience before.

If desire has been whispering to you…

If something in you is ready to move with more truth…

If you want your dance to feel freer, clearer, and more alive—

We’d love to dance with you.

About Dance Meets Tantra

Born in Boulder, CO, Dance Meets Tantra has grown into a movement uniting conscious dance with intimacy practices, ritual, and shadow play. Our immersions are potent, playful, and trauma-informed — crafted to welcome both vulnerability and eros, light and shadow, in ways that are alive and human.

Dance Meets Tantra is a Space of:

~ Vulnerability — feeling and owning the full range of emotion.

~ Permission — expressing the full spectrum of self, including eros.

~ Safety — rooted in boundaries, consent, and responsibility

Our Approach to Tantra

For us, Tantra is the art of being fully alive. We encompass the entirety of humanness, including our sexual energy, but not entirely focused on this, as some may perceive — eros, when it arises, is honored as sacred. We draw from both classical and neo-tantric lineages, blending ancient wisdom with contemporary practice. In dance, this becomes visceral: the body as doorway, erotic energy as life-force, boundaries as portals into freedom.

This Immersion is for You if:

You’re a dancer ready to go deeper
You’re curious about tantra and want to explore in an embodied, grounded way
You’re a practitioner or facilitator longing to receive
You’ve never done anything like this, and feel the spark of curiosity

If you're feeling the call, join us. Space is limited.

Testimonials for Dance Meets Tantra x Austin:

"DMT mirrors what you want from it, and what you bring to it. It could be scary, and it will be liberating. The thing I most appreciate about DMT is that it meets me wherever I am in my animal-body. This time, I thought I wanted harder-hitting and overpowering energy. What my animal-body wanted was softness and to be deliberate. I slowed down and stopped trying to force things in a particular direction. Once I got clear, my fellow participants showed up in thoughtful and deliberate ways throughout the remaining time, and I finished in a very peaceful place."

~ ATX Portals Participant

"I went into DMT expecting a weekend of fun and was blown away by how DEEP and profound it was as well. Playful, silly, sexy, relaxing, connected, expansive, emptying. It was nutrient dense and play-rich. At the end of the weekend I noticed feeling more restored, energized and filled up than I would have felt doing anything else this week. So much life force flowing and it is staring my new week off fully charged!!"

~ Claire

"I love Dance Meets Tantra. This is truly a space where I feel safe to be my most vulnerable, messy, shadow-y self... and I don't mean the Instagram version of "shadow work" - I mean the parts of me that don't know if they are going to be accepted or held. I have never ever in my life felt safer to be myself, and I have never felt as energized, grounded, and clear after so much dance, inner work, and interpersonal dynamics!"
