Dance of Life
Event description
The Dance of Life is a monthly liberating ecstatic dance event for Gympie locals.
Hosted by the Portal for Natural Wellbeing Foundation, the dance is for those who enjoy unstructured movement inspired by Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms. Lightly facilitated by a volunteer and fellow dance lover, the Dance of Life is a once a month opportunity to shake it loose to a wide selection of amazingly inspiring music from classical to rock, world music to techno and all the potential shades in between to depict five different moods. Here you can choose to tune into your body to release stress, let go of your mind and just let your body show you the way to connect naturally to your joyous, divine nature .
There is a sharing circle at the beginning and end of the dance for connection and friendship. Please be punctual. Located in Pie Creek, it's a cosy venue with a great atmosphere in an old Queenslander schoolhouse (close to the Pie Creek Hall) able to accommodate up to 20 dancers.
Tickets for all events are on Humanitix and are $20 plus booking fee. Tickets at the door are $30 if the event is not booked out. You are encouraged to book in advance.
