Naarm-based artist Primary Thug returns with Young Love Tape, a compelling four-track EP that delves into themes of lust, anger and betrayal. Blending reggaeton, hip-hop, breaks, and IDM, the project showcases dark, visceral soundscapes and captivating production.

The EP features collaborations with Naarm singer, songwriter, and producer JUPiTA and Naarm/Roma rapper/producer DoloRRes. JUPiTA delivers a sensual and intoxicating performance on Me Tengo Q Ir, a glitchy reggaeton track that also marks Primary Thug’s vocal debut in their solo work. On I Need It, DoloRRes offers stern, chilling verses layered over a skittering, bass-heavy beat.

The EP’s sonic exploration continues with Prostate Flutters, which examines the transformative power of anger through a thumping ballroom beat, enriched by samples from the Eastern Whipbird and Princess Nokia. Closing the project is The Vorld, which begins with a progressive Latin rhythm before evolving into a glitchy breakbeat, crafted to energize dance floors.
