Dance Potion
Event description
Annaki is a Queer 360 Emergence apprentice whose passion is to create embodied dance floors,a space to meet ourselves, to be ourselves and to love ourselves.
Dance Potion is a sober un choreographed dance movement adventure that encourages authentic self-expression in hope to create interpersonal connectedness, and to have some intentional fun. Dance Potion is for all the dancers, movers, and embodied joy chasers who feel the dance floor as a sacred ground.
Dance Potion is a dance floor the welcomes all genders and sexualities.
Annaki acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we dance upon We pay our respects to elders past and present, and to all Aboriginal members of our community. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded, and that this land was, is, and always will be Aboriginal land.
"Dancing is the motion of our body and mind in union. Dance and movement is liberating and expressive, allowing us to connect with our inner selves and let our spirits soar. We let go of what we think others may think and feel free through the expression of our inner beauty, balance, health, joy, and connection with the animals within us" - Ösel Hita
