After the inward turning of winter, something begins to stir. Spring invites us to slowly emerge from hibernation, unfurl, turn our faces toward the sun and become curious about life again.

Nectar is a somatic dance journey exploring the meeting place between self and world - that beautiful place where we can stay rooted in ourselves while becoming more open and receptive to connection, pleasure and aliveness.

Like a flower opening to light, air, rain and the insects and ecosystem around it, we are also part of a living web of relationship. Nectar both nourishes and invites us into connection. It draws us toward sweetness, warmth, colour, scent, sensation, play and the deliciousness of being alive.

Through movement, music and exploration, we’ll explore the experience of emerging through the body - softness and strength, opening and receiving. We’ll play with curiosity, connection, maybe a little mischief, allowing ourselves to be seen and to meet the world without losing ourselves.

There is a time for turning inward, for resting and retreating, and there is a time to emerge. Nectar is an invitation into that becoming - to unfurl, to open, to participate in life and to let ourselves be nourished by what is around us.

Perhaps we might even allow ourselves to be a little pollinated by life. 🐝🌸

WHAT TO EXPECT

6:00PM - Doors open for gentle arrival, connection, exploration of the space and a blessing on arrival.

6:30PM - We move into circle with a Spring Tea Blend to prepare our Temple Bodies.

From here the guided journey begins with with Claire leading the experience alongside Lioness on the decks with a live DJ set.

8.45PM - We close with integration and shared supplied kai to nourish body and spirit.

The space is slow, spacious, and sensual, awakening all the senses.

Our Temple Keepers have all trained in Somatic Dance with Sarsha Hope and Stephen Blase within Somatic Dance International - This means we have collectively over a 1000hours of experience from training and assisting, and also holding our own individual spaces.

What is Somatic Dance?

Somatic Dance is an invitation to move from within.

You’ll be guided to:

Listen to your body
Follow sensation and feeling
Move in your own time and way

No choreography. No pressure. Every cue is optional. Every body is welcome.
