Event description

We are excited to invite you to open contemporary dance classes with CoExist in 2024!

Join us for movement on Monday mornings. Each session will explore contemporary dance and improvisation alongside unique interests from each facilitator. Participants are guided through a 75 minute class with a focus on expanding creativity, building contemporary technique and making space for you to move your body. All abilities are welcome!

Each class goes towards our goal of creating inclusive & accessible spaces for emerging artists and supporting our newest upcoming project (stay tuned!!).

Classes will be taking place at 412 Lygon Street, Brunswick East, every Monday morning 9:30am - 10:45am.

CoExist is a collective of young, multidisciplinary, emerging artists who all share a passion for sharing and being involved in the contemporary dance industry. CoExist strives to diversify creative practise and create a safe environment which fosters artistic growth and acknowledges the vitality of culture and education.

Our aim is to initiate change within the industry in terms of the accessibility of the arts to the general public and create opportunities for artists entering the industry for the first time.

As young artists, Coexist Collective understand the struggle of crossing barriers between student and emerging artist; we seek to create our own opportunities and take initiative in furthering our careers on terms which benefit the expansion of both the industry and our own personal development.
