DANCE FOR DEMENTIA
Event description
Dance has been shown to be beneficial in the direct treatment of several conditions including arthritis, depression, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.
Led by professional dancer teacher, dance/movement therapist and allied health assistant Jessica Lesosky, participants and their circle of care are invited into a safe and supportive space to connect, dance, and enjoy the transformative power of music and movement. No prior dance experience is necessary.
This class is perfect for old(er) adults and individuals living with dementia. Dancers are encouraged to wear what they feel comfortable to dance in. This class is inclusive for people with disability.
