Dancing Freedom with Millie
Description
Patterns are everywhere.
They exist in nature: in the spirals of shells, the branching of trees, the changing seasons, and even the Fibonacci sequence. They exist in music, where repetition helps regulate our nervous system and creates a sense of safety, familiarity, and predictability.
They exist within us too.
In our thoughts, habits, relationships, and the ways we move through life. Patterns can offer comfort, structure, security, and freedom within containment. Like rhythm in dance, they give us something to trust.
Yet sometimes the very patterns that once supported us become the ones that keep us small. We stay with what is familiar, forgetting there is a world of possibility waiting beyond what we already know.
This Dance is not about judging our patterns as ‘good or bad.’
It is an invitation to become curious.
To notice what repeats. To honour the patterns that we hold. To recognise the ones we may have outgrown. To dance with both the familiar and the lesser known patterns in our lives; remembering that awareness itself creates possibility.
We are not here to erase our patterns.
We are here to witness them, transform them where needed, and continue weaving our own artworks of life - dancing old and new rhythms together
