    Exciting News for the Adelaide Hills Community!If you love dancing and want to get your heart racing, we have an event you won’t want to miss. We're thrilled to announce the debut of ‘Dancing in the Hills’, a new monthly event celebrating dance, culture, and community.

    For our very first edition, we are proud to feature two incredibly talented and renowned artists:Talita Fontainha, known as Adelaide’s Samba Queen and crowned ‘Australian Samba Queen’, is one of the most accomplished dancers, entertainers and instructors in the Australian dance scene. She has even been recognised as a Distinguished Talent by the Australian government and can teach “anyone” how to dance. Talita will be sharing her expertise in Brazilian Samba and Afro-Samba, bringing an unbeatable blend of energy, skill, and fun. You might even recognise her from the Adelaide Fringe Festival starring in Rio 40.Nationally recognised for his talent and dedication, 

    Ru Mendis has been teaching Kizomba in Adelaide since 2020, building a vibrant community under the *Adelaide Kizomba Movement*. He has been dancing since the age of 10, specialising in Ballroom, Latin, and Street Latin styles. Ru is a key figure in the Kizomba scene, being a passionate advocate for Kizomba and Semba. His achievements include being the runner-up in the 2019 Austral-Asian Kizomba Competition and winning the title of Austral-Asian Kizomba Champion in 2020 & Austral-Asian Kizomba Olympiads 2024.
    Please Join us for our introductory workshops, featuring:

    2pm: Afro (Talita)
    3pm: Samba (Talita)
    4pm: Semba (Ru Mendes)
    5pm: Kizomba Ru Mendes)

    Social dance 7pm- 11pm.
