Dancing with the Archetypes - Somatic Movement Therapy
Event description
This is a group therapy environment following a five part session over two hours for each week. It helps you access a meditative state of moving in order to experience the non-verbal language of body-mind connection.
The two weeks will be seperated into themes. The first week will focus on your current somatic state using Maslow's heirarchy of needs. Working to bring a greater sense of self through:
- Self Esteem
- Love and Belonging
- Safety and Security
- Physical Body Awareness.
Then in the second week we will dance with the Jungian archetypes to contrast existing body-mind states, integrating layers of strength to your being. This approaches four fundamental aspects:
- Providing Structure
- Connection to Others
- Leaving a Mark
- Espiritual Journey
The five part sessions will include warm up, release, apply theme, centring and closing.
Achieved through a gentle modality of Somatic Dance Movement, you will be guided through meditative experientials diving deeper into the subconscious, awareness of your central nervous system and work towards resilience and regulation.
Open up your awareness to the profoundness of body mind connection on the pathway to healing and personal freedom.
