Event description

Grab your ballet shoes and join children’s author Chenée Marrapodi and dance extraordinaire Julie Moore for a morning of books and ballet.

Get your backstage pass to the middle grade novels One Wrong Turn and Breaking Pointe and experience the magic of ballet for yourself!

In this fusion of ballet and storytelling, have fun and discover the secrets behind the pages with author Chenée Marrapodi.

Then take a leap into the novel, joining Chenée at the barre for a 1-hour ballet class, taught by Dance Central Director and Choreographer Julie Moore.

Things to note:
– Suitable for ages 9+ (all dance levels welcome!)
– Dancewear is encouraged, with ballet attire welcome but not essential – any comfortable activewear you can move freely in is perfect.
– We ask that dancers wear either ballet pumps or socks.
– Books and dance t-shirts available for purchase at event.
– Ticket prices includes 1hr dance workshop and meet-the-author event.
– Capacity is restricted to 40 participants.

Presented by Chenée Marrapodi and Dance Central
