Following Kerry’s “Be Brave” approach to painting, using a rather wild technique, you will work quickly with energy and spirit.

A weekend workshop in acrylics and drawing material.

The aim of this workshop is to encourage participants to loosen up their approach in representing a subject in 2D. By using a broad and rather wild technique, a painted colour base is established upon which, at various stages, some refining of the subject is accomplished using drawing media. We want to capture the elements of a subject that has engaged the artist without becoming trapped by our effort to represent the physical “exactness” of the subject.

In this two-day studio workshop, you can work from anything you are passionate about (landscape, portrait, still life, interiors) from A4 size colour images. Yass Library has a great colour photocopy system printed from your phone. Nothing smaller than an A4 size for the workshop.

Kerry has been teaching art workshops for several years. This workshop follows on from the Creative Encounters event on June 17, 2026, in Yass.

Material List will be emailed once enrolled.
