The festivities will start at 10.00 a.m at the Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre in Preston.

Ken Evans, a well-known local artist stared creating a life size eco friendly Ganesha.

Arti, a Hindu priest will instal Ganesha in the presence of several hundreds of Hindu and non Hindu devotees of Ganesha and many other interested people.

Children will enjoy drawing and painting activities organised by Suma.Ganga is putting together a spectacular cultural program in conjunction with several music and dance teachers in the region.

Established as well as budding artists will perform Indian devotional music and dance to entertain Ganesha and the guests.

The statue of Ganesha will be taken to Bundoora park by devotees chanting appreciative songs and slogans to be immersed at round 4 pm in the lake at the Bundoora park with assistance from volunteers of SES as well as the officers from City of Darebin and Victoria Police.
