Daredevil Improv
Event description
In "Daredevil Improv", or "Everything I Learned About Conflict in Improv I Learned from Season 3 of Nexflix's Daredevil (2018)", learn how to improvise conflict without fear.
Conflict is central to a lot of drama and comedy, but if it isn't done well it can feel like a depressing slog. The Season 3 of Netflix's Daredevil taught me how to portray conflict in a way that feels exciting and narratively rewarding. I will share its lessons, and show you how to use vulnerability, trust, and super-echolocation powers to work together with your scene partner and create wonderful conflict scenes.
Watching Season 3 of Netflix's Daredevil is recommended, but not necessary. Season 2 is bad and not recommended, but provides a good point of comparison. Season 1 is okay, and if you're watching the other two will provide more context. Actually, just take the class.
This workshop is for all levels. I am committed to a safe, playful learning environment, and I ask attendees to do the same.
This workshop forms part of the 2025 PITS Annual Improv Festival and all proceeds go to supporting the growth of improvised theatre in Perth.
