It’s that time of year again, our annual celebration where we indulge in the depths of our darkest vices and desires.

For the 5th iteration of Dark Mass, 3 Ravens is teaming up with the outcasted creatives and dark art visionaries, Sickest House, the chili champs Los Tres and culinary wizard Michael Slade, alongside a plethora of talented local performance artists and musicians for an unforgettable winter solstice.

VIP Solstice Feast + Live Show (limited capacity)

A decadent and transcendental solstice dining experience where guests will be welcomed to an interactive and immersive world set by an elaborately decorated banquet table delicately pieced together by the artists of Sickest House. A place where tales will be told by the artists and you’ll indulge in a feast prepared by one of Melbourne’s most reputable chefs, Northern Git’s very own Michael Slade, paired with a selection of six rare and limited dark beers, a hot sauce tasting from new local chili fiends, Los Tres and spine-tingling live shows by The Human Hazard, Sian Bridgid and Golden Scissor Puppets.

After the feast satiates and the plates clear, the lucky VIP guests get free entry into the afterparty as the Mass celebrates past Midnight.

🖤 Abnoba the Huntress (event exclusive) 4.4% ABV Schwarzbier
Known as the “Black Beer with the Blonde Soul” the German lager style Schwarzbier balances smooth roasted malt flavours with moderate hop bitterness for an easy drinking beer that belies its appearance. Brewed in honour of Diana Abnoba, Goddess of the Black Forest and patroness of the hunt and wild animals.

🌶 Sultry Subordinate (event exclusive) 7.6% ABV Strong Stout infused with Reposada Tequila, fresh Orange Habanero, dried Chipotle and lime zest. Conscribed into a supporting role for the Smokey Devil, this strong stout wallows in a foundation of deep, dark and flame-licked roasted rye, smoked jalapeno and charred-barrel aged tequila with piercing shrieks of orange habanero and flayed lemon.

🦂Sour Scorpion ((event exclusive) 3.3% ABV Sour Ale with cucumber, lime zest and Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion. Made from the skin of limes and the blood of real cucumbers, eviscerated by souring bacteria and haunted by Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion this is a cleansing act with a sting in its tail.

⚔️ Sword Swallower (event exclusive) 7.2% ABV
Dry-hopped Foreign Extra Stout with 7 Pot Nebru. A member of the Citrus Circus, the Sword Swallower is a death-defying act featuring Galaxy Incognito (not his real name) and his surprisingly spicy cousin 7 Pot Nebru.

🦅Hugin Dark Smoke 5% ABV Smoked Dark Beer
Hugin is a modernised version of the 3 Ravens classic - Dark Smoke. Inspired by the Bamberg Rauchbier, it features German beechwood smoked malts as well as locally toasted munich style malts, German hops and a German yeast, this is our tribute to where we’ve come from.

☘️Abhartach (event exclusive)3.8% ABV Dry Irish Stout.
Don’t underestimate the innocent appearance of this Irish dwarf, it has the bite of a much larger beast. Dismiss it at your peril…

🍫Choc Rye Extra Stout 7.1% ABV Export Stout with Rye & Cacao. Irish Export-style Stout brewed with 30% heritage rye (including the roasted malts) and Nicaraguan cacao husk for Dark Mass 2024.

🥃 Bourbon Conspiracy Imperial Stout 12.8% ABV Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. Aged 20 months in American oak bourbon barrels ex Jim Beam. With smooth roast, soft bitterness, lush mouthfeel and good length this complex and quaffable Imperial Stout was designed for whisky barrel ageing and is ripe for adulteration.

The After Party is a collaboration with Sickest House. The outcasted creative collective that travel the world working on unique events and festivals, this time bringing their signature twisted style and production to the halls of 3 Ravens. With music alone only being one dimension of your experience, Sickest House are known to create spaces that transport you to another world with thrilling performances and curated music line-ups filled with diversity and unique sounds of the Melbourne underground music scene.
