Darkness into Light Sydney Sunrise Swim

Join Darkness into Light Sydney at 06.00 Saturday, September 10 in support of World Suicide Prevention Day. September 10th marks the day that the issue of suicide and it's causes are highlighted in a global day of recognition. We'd love for you to join us for a swim or a coffee at sunrise at Coogee Beach to mark this significant date.

All funds raised through the participating registration link will be donated to Safe Space Summer Hill. Safe Space Summer Hill is an Inner West Sydney based organisation that provides a non clinical space that is a peer based response to supporting people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts, behaviours, ideation or have made a suicide attempt. 

Safe Space Summer Hill is open on Friday and Saturday nights and operate a no wrong door approach. The space is led by lived experience peers who sit along side and hold the space to listen to the person in distress. Safe Space Summer Hill believe that the individual is the expert in their own life and are led by their direction. We believe a non judgemental space can provide a beacon of hope to the person in distress and anyone who supports them.

Please join us for what is sure to be another wonderful morning raising awareness of the issue of suicide while raising much needed funds for this very worthy organisation.

We'd love for all participants to join us after the event at a venue nearby for coffees, breakfast and a chat amongst friends!
