Every Tuesday in October and November 2026, we will be running Darn Hot Tuesdays at the Djerring Centre, Abbotsford to help you take your Balboa skills to the next level. Each Tuesday will see a different session run by a rotating cast of Melbournian Bal enthusiasts! Sessions will consist of classes, workshops and social dances, and details will be published ahead of time.

This will see a series of 1 hour classes followed by 1 hour of flexible social / practice time. Participants should be familiar with the fundamentals of pure bal basics (up and down hold), out and ins, lollies, swivels and throwouts. Anyone who has done our Introduction to Balboa class will be ready for these classes.

Drawing on the ethos of our long running practice group, the second hour is a great opportunity to quiz the Balboa brains trust or just dance out the rest of the night. The teachers will be there to answer questions (or just have a dance).

Here on Humanitix you can buy a pass for a whole month's sessions at a concessional rate of $15 per Tuesday. However, you can also show up as the mood takes you for a door fee of $20.
