Event description

Ever wanted to mend those beloved woollen jumpers that the moths have nibbled on, or make your favourite scarf last a bit longer?

Mending whizz and textile artist Tamara Russel will be sharing her knowledge on darning, and needle felting in a great 2-hour workshop.

Join us in this FREE workshop and make the clothes you love last longer, keeping them from landfill.

What to bring:

  • Your woollens that have stains, rips or holes that need repairing

  • Feel free to bring any fabric, yarn or embellishments you may like to add

  • Most importantly bring your imagination and enthusiasm!

What is provided:

  • Darning tools and a range of wool yarn

  • Needle felting tools and wool fibre

  • Thread – sewing thread, embroidery floss, embroidery cottons

  • Pins and needles

  • Scissors

  • Sewing notions as required
