Event description

What is Daughters of the West?

A FREE 10-week health program for women over 18 who have served in the ADF and live in the Albury Wodonga area! The program aims to provide participants with the tools to maintain their health and wellbeing.

In a safe and inclusive space, Veterans will have the opportunity to learn about health topics, engage in physical activity and connect with new and old friends.

Each week, for 10 weeks, you will meet with your Veteran group for two hours where you will:

  • hear from a range of guest presenters who will lead an interactive discussion on various health topics such as nutrition, mental fitness, health screenings and more.
  • participate in some fun, group-based exercise, with our supportive exercise staff offering options for all fitness levels and abilities!

We are proud to deliver the Wodonga Daughters of the West session in partnership with RSL Victoria. The program is FREE thanks to support from our major partner WorkSafe Victoria, program partners cohealth and the Victorian State Government and support from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to develop a physical fitness routine, meet other women veterans in the local community, and have a few laughs while you’re at it, then come along and try the 2023 Daughters of the West - Wodonga Veteran program.

What day and time will the program run?

In Albury Wodonga, the sessions will be delivered at the Wodonga Sports & Leisure Centre from 6.00pm – 8.00pm starting Tuesday 6th February.
