Dave’s Night Out returns on Wednesday, May 28 at 7PM with special guests Mance Robinson and Pete McDonough—two standout guitarists carrying forward the rich acoustic traditions of American Folk. Inspired by the legendary players of the 60s folk revival, this evening will explore the artistry of fingerstyle guitar and the stories that shaped the genre. Hosted by Dave Fry, the night promises engaging music, warm conversation, and a deep appreciation for the roots of folk.

Dave’s Night Out is a monthly reoccurring series at Godfrey Daniels, curated by Dave Fry. Join us monthly for a delightful blend of music, humor, and thought-provoking conversations between Dave and his guests.

Guitar Boy is an affectionate nod to the young acoustic guitarists who assisted the guitar masters like Rev. Gary Davis, Mississippi John Hurt and others during the folk music revival of the 60's. It was this second generation of pickers like David Bromberg, Woody Mann, Stephan Grossman, Jorma Kaukenen, Roy Book Binder and others that has spurred the present generation of players like Mance, Pete and Dave to continue to explore this rich American Folk Music.
