DAVE WARNER'S FROM THE SUBURBS - Mug's Game 2025

Once cited by Bob Dylan as being his favourite Australian songwriter, Dave Warner is an iconic Australian musician and performer who emerged as a prominent figure in the late 1970s and early 1980s on the punk rock and new wave scene. Born in Western Australia, the music of his band “Dave Warner’s from the Suburbs” captivated audiences with its witty storytelling and quintessentially Australian themes. It was the first time that an Australian artist dared write about his own country and Dave did it so well, audiences just couldn’t get enough of him. 

The group developed a huge underground following, which led to Dave signing with Australia’s Mushroom Records in 1978. His first album, "Mug's Game", went gold within a month of release. Dave’s second album, Free Kicks, was released in 1979.

Dave Warner and the original "Mugs Game" suburbs band are returning to Lismore in November 2025 for the first time in decdes for a very special sunday session.
