What's up with New Jersey? Dave has invited two talented New Jersey songwriters to share the stage with him and our audience: Bill Hall and Andrew Dunn. Bill, Andrew and Dave will share songs, philosophies, humor and conversation with our audience. As always, a uniquely entertaining evening at Godfrey's. Conversation with the audience is encouraged.

William J. Hall

William J. Hall is a songwriter’s songwriter and poet’s poet!  A major feature at our Godfrey’s Open Mike, Bill is Kerrville New Folk award-winner and has appeared with Pete Seeger, Allen Ginsburg, Don McLean, and John Gorka, to name a few.  Painting musical landscapes inside "his tasty word salads," as one critic described, Hall is a master at his craft and never ceases to inspire our audiences with for his insightful, universal love songs and fascinating snapshots of life.






Andrew Dunn

Andrew Dunn is a songwriter. Songs float atop a rich bed of accompaniment. Deceptively simple and organic, words flow from his conversation-like presentation. His songs offer vivid stories and emotional connections after one listen. His music is “rare…with a gravity akin to James Taylor or Paul Simon.“

Dunn has opened for the folk icon, Judy Collins as well as Richard Shindell, Vance Gilbert, the Kennedys, and many others. He was an artist on Southside Sunday Night Volume 1 alongside John Gorka. In 2018 he was a finalist in Kerrville Grassy Hill’s prestigious Songwriter competition and the Great American Song Contest.
