You can choose to attend session one, session two or all three sessions for a full day of training.


Session ONE begins at 8.30am

Domestic and Family Violence Fundamentals

3.5-hour interactive workshop with group activities

   Topics:

· Understanding Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) and Abuse

· How to identify DFV

· Barriers to change and accessing services

· Responding to disclosures of DFV

· The impact of trauma on clients

· Children and Young People

· Workers - vicarious trauma and self-care

· Referral/support information for clients and workers

Session TWO begins at 12.30pm

Coercive Control Masterclass

2 hours interactive workshop with group activities

Topics:

  • What is coercive control?
  • How do you identify the signs?
  • How do you assess for coercive control?
  • The Homicide Timeline

Participants will need a good understanding of domestic and family violence before attending this training.


Session THREE begins at 2.30pm

Vicarious Trauma and Self-Care

1.5 hours interactive workshop with group activities

Topics:

  • What is vicarious Trauma?
  • How do we best look after ourselves?
  • Self-care planning
