Dawn of the Squat: Black Dog Institute Fundraiser Competition

Welcome to the inaugural "Dawn of the Squat", our first squat-only competition where proceeds go to The Blackdog Institute for research funding towards mental health.

The spirit of this competition is centered around the premise that, at times, we all experience what feels like the weight of the world on our shoulders and it's the trust in our capabilities and support from those around us that help us stand up.

Limited to 40 athletes, we will have separate prizes for the top 3 male and female lifters in DOTS and total.

Cost of entry tickets will go to The Blackdog Institute to further support funding for mental health research.

At checkout, you will have the option to purchase a competition shirt and 2026 calendar made available for pick up on competition day. Funds from these will also contribute to the fundraising towards The Blackdog Institute.

Location: Below Parallel Barbell Club, 128 Arthur Street Fortitude Valley (limited onsite parking, street parking available)

Time: Weigh-in 0700-0800, Warm up (first flight) from 0830
