Day 1 is all about bees.

Learn about the different bees in a hive, how to identify the different bees, the roles bees play in their life, the lifecycle of bees, basic beekeeping equipment, different hives and safety in the hives. We will be finishing the day opening up some beehives to experience bees first hand.

Simon Mulvany from 'Save the Bees Australia' is our Keynote speaker for Day 1, and he will also be helping us to open the bee hives together.

What you get from this 1 day experience:

  • A workbook covering the topics discussed
  • Fully catered lunch.
  • Meet and greet with Keynote speaker, Simon Mulvany)
  • Spend time at a regenerative hub the 'Revillaging project', in Boneo.
  • A chance to open up beehives with experienced beekeepers.
  • A safe environment to ask questions, connect and learn.
  • A community of women beekeepers.

​What you need to wear/bring 

  • Long sleeve pants and shirt.
  • Sturdy boots (preferably steel cap but not essential).
  • A freshly washed bee suit.
  • A pen.
