The National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) and the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre invite Sydney-region researchers, software engineers, data specialists, and HPC users to join us for a four-day, in-person roadshow at the UNSW Sydney CBD Campus.
Program Overview

Day 3: Deep Learning with PyTorch (UNSW Users Only)
Day 4: Python Acceleration: GPU-Powered Array Computing with CuPy (UNSW Users Only)

Join us for the second day of the Sydney Roadshow, focused on introductory training, emerging technologies, and direct engagement with the national HPC community. You will have the opportunity to choose from one of three novice-level morning tracks designed to build your foundational skills, before spending the afternoon troubleshooting directly with experts.
Who Should Attend?
Focus: Foundational training, emerging technologies, and face-to-face helpdesk.
This session is designed for the Sydney-region research community, including:
New & Prospective Users seeking foundational, guided training to confidently get started on NCI platforms or ARDC's Nectar Cloud.
Researchers & HDR Students curious about emerging technologies and wanting to learn the basics of Pawsey's Setonix-Q quantum computing pilot.
Current HPC & Cloud Users looking for face-to-face helpdesk support to troubleshoot workflows, optimise code, or resolve access issues directly with the experts.
Technical Support Staff wanting practical, hands-on familiarity with the specific computing platforms their researchers use daily.

Setonix-Q: Quantum Computing and You
Curious about quantum computing and what it means for your research? Join Pascal for an introduction to Setonix-Q, Pawsey's quantum computing pilot. This session covers the current capability, how to request access, and the foundational skills you'll need to get started. Whether you're quantum-curious or ready to dive in, this is your entry point.
Afternoon: Helpdesk & Consultations

Face-to-Face Help Desk
Are you a current user of NCI, Pawsey or Nectar? Have you got questions about access, or a project, or just a general query? Come with your problems, workflows, or ideas, and we'll work through them together. No question is too big or too small.
