Day 3 Innovators (9th NorthEast Gathering)

Day Three is an explicit invitation to be bold. We are stepping entirely out of comfortable waters to fiercely challenge what is possible within curriculum design. We reject the urge to make learning reductive, box-ticking, or diluted. Instead, this final day is a radical sandbox for innovation—a space dedicated to finding visionary ways to make curriculum rich, deep, and deeply relevant to our rangatahi. If you are ready to disrupt old patterns and co-design a future-focused blueprint for learning, your seat is at this table.

What Makes This Day Special?

• The Provocateur's Spark: We kick off the morning with our incredible Thought Sparker, Barbara Ala'alatoa, who will set the scene and purposefully stir the room to disrupt conventional thinking.

• Active Design, Not Passive Listening: This isn’t a day for spectators. You will immediately dive into active, collaborative design groups to prototype, deconstruct, and build vibrant curriculum frameworks alongside peers.

• Witness True Innovation: Throughout the day, you will have exclusive opportunities to hear from and see the work of active Guest Sharers—innovators who are already successfully pushing the boundaries in their schools.

What You Need to Know

• Date: Thursday, 19th November 2026

• Time: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (A high-octane morning of deep focus, wrapping up in time for afternoon flights or travel)

• Investment: $75 per person (or included in the $200 full 3-day pass)

• Our Core Rule Stands: As always, we are not precious. If a design group or session isn't sparking the right fire for you, you have the total autonomy to move on and find the right space to channel your energy.
