Together, THEY

Invite you to join them in Oscar's family home, for two days of sharing What Works in a teamwork approach between practitioners and patients. Get ready for every meal to be a cooking show - delicious homemade recipes created by a real abuela. We will do some excursions into Mexico City, one of the most amazing places in the world. We will be guided by locals who are much more than guides. They are family.

Cancer is not a death sentence.

Saturday - Oct 28th

Our group will gather for breakfast and lunch at a restaurant called Mi Kasa Foods, near our accommodations.

We will stay at Mi Kasa all morning, as Julie Stevens presents her CME program “Co-Creating a Healthcare Team Approach with Patients”

After lunch Oscar Sierra LAC will give a presentation on complementary treatments that he and Julie agreed to use in her cancer journey, including Botanical Medicine, Eclectic Triphasic Medical System (ETMS), and more.

We will break for afternoon siesta

Dinner will be a celebration of healthy home cooking, with a class/demonstration in the home of Pilar Rodriguez, a culinary matriarch. The night would not be complete without a Tequila Tasting.

In the evening, the group will attend a Mariachi Event in Plaza Garibaldi downtown Mexico City.

Sunday - Oct 29

We will meet in the morning at Oscar’s Aunt Yola’s house in Santa Fe, a suburb of Mexico City, for a light breakfast of fresh fruits & snacks

In the morning class, Julie & Oscar will talk together about the process and relationship between patient and provider, and the key changes it took to get and keep her well. They are working together on a project they call MOJO Health, developing a holistic approach to palliative care and a suite of tools and services to make cancer suck as little as possible.

A gluten-free lunch will be served by Yola.

Get ready for the Parade for Day of the Dead Parade at Casa Yola, with the help of Julie, the Queen of Party Planning.

At 2pm the group will head down to Chapultepec/Zocalo downtown Mexico City to attend a Day of Dead Parade!
