Dayshift (Eora/Syd) - Feat. Roska (UK), Lu.Re (UK), Fonzo (UK), Yemz (UK) + more
Event description
Dayshift is returning to our home in Marrickville for Season 3!
Dayshift is back this October for our first dance of Spring! We are so excited to show you what we’ve been cooking over winter.
One of the true dons of the UK Funky scene, the iconic Roska joins us in Australia for the first time since 2011. A key figure in the dance music scene since the late 2000s, Roska has helped define the UK Funky sound with his huge influence and innovative production.
No stranger to the ec2a/Hardline family, Fonzo makes his Australian debut. The Bristol-based DJ and producer, has made his mark on the UK club scene with already iconic productions and dynamic sets, earning support from Rinse FM and beyond.
And if that wasn’t enough “Bristol-based DJ and producer” for you, Yemz also makes her Australian debut. Known for her high-energy performances and genre-blending, she incorporates elements of UK Funky, UK Garage, and Afrobeat into her well-considered and intentional sets.
Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Sobolik crafts vibrant, genre-blurring club music that fuses elements of UK bass, techno, and breaks into what is now becoming a quintessential sound of NYC. Co-heading All Centre, they’ve gained recognition for their innovative productions on labels like 3024, CloudCore, and Woozy.
London-based DJ and producer Lu.Re is a rising star in the UK club scene. Known for her DIY ethos, she draws inspiration from UK garage, grime, bass, and breaks to craft vibrant, sub-heavy club mixes that showcase her unique style and musical versatility.
Completing our selection of international guests we have one of India’s most forward-thinking producers and DJs, Rafiki/EZ Riser, and favourite staple UKG and UK Bass producer, Holloway. This of course is rounded out by a carefully selected group of our favourite local DJs - Fuchsia, King Henry, Latyx and Oddsocks.
This time around our third stage, The Green, will be hosted by familiar faces from our first dance, the Northern Rivers favourite soundsystem, Submerge System.
Dayshift will house three outdoor stages at the spacious Sydney Portugal Community Club (not the Madeira club). Along with over 9 hours of music, there will be food trucks, retailers, and other market stalls, rounding out a full day of food, fun and tunes in the sun.
Expect some heavy bass weight across all stages, provided by MM Acoustics (Buzz Speaker Hire), Translate Sound, and Submerge System.
We can’t wait to party in the sun with you all again!
