Dazed x MUBI Cinema Club: Her Private Hell
Description
Calling all film fans, Dazed x MUBI Cinema Club is back once again! This time around, your favourite screening service is presenting a preview of the latest neon-drenched thriller from Nicolas Winding Refn, Her Private Hell. Watch the trailer here.
The new film from the director – known for the critically-acclaimed Drive and The Neon Demon – follows a rising movie star named Elle, played by Sophie Thatcher, whose dystopian city has been engulfed by a mysterious mist. As she prepares to shoot a space opera with her ex-lover turned stepmother (it’s complicated) she crosses paths with an American GI, played by Charles Melton, who wanders the streets in a desperate search for his daughter–– while a sinister figure known as the Leather Man stalks the city's shadows.
Dazed x MUBI Cinema Club is bringing Her Private Hell to London’s Hackney Picturehouse on September 10, with doors opening at 7pm. And before the film, Nicolas Winding Refn will join us for a Q&A to discuss his new work at 7:30pm.
