Developmental Disabilities Day at the Legislature 2026

Advocates look forward to Developmental Disabilities Day at the Legislature (DD Day) all year! Now the wait is over. Join us on Wednesday, February 18th, from 8:00 to 11:00 AM in Annapolis. You will hear from legislators and fellow advocates. You will also learn about important advocacy topics for this legislative session before meeting with your legislators to discuss them!

DD Day is brought to you by the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Coalition, which includes The Arc Maryland, Disability Rights Maryland, the Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS), the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council, and People On the Go Maryland. Event materials, including fact sheets and advocacy toolkits, will be available on the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council website before the event!

Sign Language Interpreters, Spanish translators, and CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) will be provided. If you require any additional accommodations, please let us know on your registration. There is a place for you to mark your options after you pay.

In 2026, DD Day will also be live-streamed, so stay tuned to find out where you can watch. There are a limited number of in-person registration spots, and they fill up fast! If you plan to watch the live stream from home, please DO NOT register here.

Breakfast and beverages will be provided at the event.

Please do your best to plan parking before you attend. We highly suggest carpooling with other people you know. There is limited parking available at the Graduate Annapolis Hotel, so please plan to arrive early! Other Annapolis parking options can be found online here.

In the case that the State Legislature closes for extreme weather, DD Day at the Legislature will be moved to a virtual platform, and no refunds will be issued. That decision will be made with as much notice as possible.
