DD Group is proud to announce that they will be hosting the RizeUp Charity Lunch on Friday, 28th of October in the Rose Room at Cloudland in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
Be sure to join us for an afternoon of amazing food, drinks, entertainment, and a variety of live auctions and raffles as we raise funds in support of RizeUp Australia.
Our special guest speaker, Tracey James, is a domestic violence survivor and advocate for the prevention of domestic violence. This mother of five’s lived experience of domestic and family violence spans across 28 years. She’ll share her firsthand account as she highlights the devastating impacts that domestic violence can have on individuals and families. You’ll learn about the importance of supporting the work done by organisation like RizeUp as Tracey recounts how they helped her and her children find safety and get off the streets into a home.
Tickets are limited and on a first-come-first-served basis. Your admission will include a 2-Course Meal as well as 4-hours of drinks. All profits will go directly to RizeUp Australia and their mission to support those afflicted by domestic and family violence.
Who is RizeUp Australia?
RizeUp Australia is an organisation of passionate men and women whose goal is to support the many families affected by domestic and family violence. They diligently work to raise awareness through a diverse range of community-driven responses; from provided victims with food, clothing, and urgent funds to getting them into a house and making it a home.
All Australians should feel safe in their homes, and all children should be able to grow up and development in a healthy, secure environment. These two statements represent RizeUp’s key objectives and the mission they seek to accomplish.
