Deadly Votes Talks - Dubbo

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Just under 87,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are unenrolled to vote. What this means is that people are not ready to
vote when they turn up to a voting station on election day.

Your vote is your Voice and it's important to know that your vote will count on election day and at the Voice to Parliament Referendum later this year.

D
id you know that you can still register to vote even though you:

  • Didn't vote in previous elections
  • Don't have a Driver's Licence
  • Don't have a Fixed Address.

Deadly Votes Talks dispells the myths around eligibility to vote in this 1.5hr talk.

You'll also hear from Aboriginal Councillor Aunty Pam Wells of Dubbo Regional Council and Aboriginal woman Tatum Moore, CEO of Dubbo Local Aboriginal Land Council about how your vote counts and how you can make a difference for Aboriginal people and communities.
