Did you know 1 in 6 people have some form of hearing loss?

The chances you'll work with someone with hearing issues is high.

This 2-hour workshop will explore:
• Cultural awareness
• Hearing loss and its impact
• How to get a d/Deaf person's attention
• How to communicate with a d/Deaf person
• Some Auslan signs and phrases.

This Professional Development Opportunity is FREE and open to all organisations working in the local community services sector.

This workshop is part of the Southern Downs disaster recovery and resilience program and is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
