Dealing with Difficult Behaviour in a Virtual Environment
Event description
This one-day course builds confidence and skills to manage difficult behaviour in a virtual environment.
Participants will learn and apply ‘Whole Brain Thinking’ and principles of effective workplace communication, build on existing levels of self-awareness and self-management, and practice respectful workplace written and oral conversations and conflict resolution.
The course covers: cultivating supportive and productive relationship; learning communication preferences of self and others; practicing the skills of influence to build mutually beneficial outcomes; learning how to craft respectful written responses to manage conflict situations, and exploring different techniques for making progress in considered and sensitive conversations. The course will also cover how to facilitate respectful interactions in a virtual meeting.

Participants will experience an interactive workshop that includes self-assessment quizzes, personal reflection, interactive group exploration activities, and current academic approaches with readings. If delivered virtually, the workshop will include short webinars, self-directed learning and interactive group discussions.
